Avinash Jhangiani is Chief Innovation Officer at Omnicom Media Group India with 18 years of digital & technology Leadership experience in Big 4 US Consulting, large MNC and global marketing communications companies in the US and India. During his tenure as Managing Director – Digital, his relentless focus on innovation for clients at Omnicom resulted in record-breaking number of awards including 4 Gold Lions at the prestigious CANNES festival in the last 3 years. He is on IMPACT’s Digital Power 100 list of most influential icons in India.
Avinash currently heads a digital transformation and innovations consulting unit that hacks growth using Design Thinking with LEGO Serious Play with emerging (IOT, virtual / augmented reality, Artificial Intelligence, big data analytics et al) technologies in areas of customer experience, sales and operations, and new business models. Prior to Omnicom, Avinash led IT & Digital transformation at Reliance MediaWorks as Chief Information Officer during which he was selected as Finalist for the IDG’s CIO 100 awards.
By education, he is an Electronics Engineer with an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He shares digital trends and runs innovation workshops at many premier colleges in India and counsels Gen Y on their careers. He particularly enjoys toying with DIY electronics, LEGO and other experiential games with his 8-year old digital native.
